Hey there, I’m Sheila! I was born and raised in Washington, D.C., and the experiences from my hometown have had a huge influence on me as an author, editor, teacher, and the owner of Virtual Solutions HQ, LLC. Before diving into the world of writing and education, I was a law enforcement officer, which gave me a unique perspective on storytelling.
While I help people navigate the digital world through my work, storytelling is where my heart really is. In my debut novel, Under the Purple Sun, I unleash my imagination and immerse readers in a realm of mystery, suspense, and intrigue. I also wrote When a Loved One is Deported: A Step-by-Step Guide for Families Coping with Separation, a compassionate guide for families facing the emotional and legal challenges of deportation.
When I'm not writing, you’ll often find me working on content creation, business strategy, and coaching others through the process. I help entrepreneurs, creatives, and businesses take their ideas to the next level with personalized content strategies, business support, and a little bit of magic from the digital world.
My love for creative expression goes way back to my early years, when I first penned poetry and short stories. Over time, I discovered the magic of transforming facts into fiction—an alchemy that has truly shaped my storytelling journey.
I’ve got a doctorate in education with a focus on global training and development, a bachelor’s in African Studies from Howard University, and a master’s in creative writing and English from Southern New Hampshire University. I also hold an associate's in criminal justice, which adds a different lens to my work. But above all, what drives me is my love for learning and discovery.
When I’m not working or writing, I’m all about life’s little adventures. I love traveling to new places, experimenting with recipes, or just getting lost in a good book. Nature’s my happy place, whether I’m out exploring local parks or cozying up in a coffee shop for some quiet reflection.
