Hey there, I’m Sheila!
Born and raised in Washington, D.C., I’ve worn many hats: law enforcement officer, educator, author, editor, and founder of Virtual Solutions HQ, LLC. Each role has shaped my perspective and enriched my storytelling. My time in law enforcement gave me a unique lens on human nature, while my work in education and writing allowed me to turn that insight into impactful stories and strategies.
Storytelling is where my heart lives. In my debut novel, Under the Purple Sun, I take readers into a world of mystery, suspense, and intrigue. I also authored When a Loved One is Deported: A Step-by-Step Guide for Families Coping with Separation, a compassionate resource for those navigating the emotional and legal challenges of separation.
Through Virtual Solutions HQ, I help entrepreneurs, creatives, and businesses bring their ideas to life with personalized content strategies, business support, and coaching. Whether it is crafting a narrative, refining a brand voice, or designing educational programs, I combine creativity with strategy to deliver results.
My journey began with poetry and short stories, growing into a passion for transforming facts into fiction. I hold a Doctorate in Education with a specialization in Global Training and Development, a Bachelor’s in African Studies from Howard University, and a Master’s in Creative Writing and English from Southern New Hampshire University, along with an Associate’s in Criminal Justice.
When I am not working or writing, I am all about life’s little adventures. I love traveling to new places, exploring art galleries and museums, experimenting with recipes, getting lost in a good book, and spending time in nature, whether I am wandering through local parks or relaxing in a coffee shop for quiet reflection.
